Today, I am reading the Governor’s Executive Order #152. I have read all 152 Executive Orders and want to be as up-to-date as possible when I talk with members. I must say that the Executive Orders are overwhelming, sometimes contradictory and difficult to understand. In my 49+ years in business I have never seen the environment being so fluid and challenging. We have all matured solving business issues, and now our experience and determination is being tested.

In the last three weeks I have visited more than a dozen customers. At each of these meetings information was exchanged, data updated and even a laugh or two. I can report that I left each meeting seeing that our members are doing all they can to keep employees safe and employed, eliminate hurdles and solve problems in the face of the current business environment.

With so many changes, there is something that has not changed — MTM staff. As I celebrate my seven years at MTM, I am reminded that I remain one of the newer kids at MTM. Let me walk you through the MTM staff:

  • Glenda Moyle, Premium Accounting Manager, 39 years
  • Chris Doebler, CFO, 32 years
  • Marci Merath, Claims Technician, 32 years
  • Cindy Boyce, Senior Claims Adjuster, 30 years
  • Donna Motley, VP of Claims, 25 years
  • Gary Wood, Senior Consultant, 22 years
  • Chris Demeter, Senior Loss Control Consultant, 17 years
  • Kimberly Davis, Claims Adjuster 15 years
  • Ruth Kiefer, VP Loss Control, 14 years
  • Megan Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing, 13 years
  • Patty Allen, Sales and Marketing Leader, 10 years
  • Debra Sagan, Claims Adjuster, 9 years
  • Travis Halsted, Loss Control Consultant, 7 years
  • John Karlen, President, 7 years
  • Djon Ljuljdjuraj, Marketing Assistant, 9 months
  • Melanie English, Manager, LPT Program, 9 months

In the last 8 years, while we have not had an employee departure, we have had two recent additions which were long-term contract staff converted to employee status in 2019. Even with this “new” staff, each had more than five years of MTM experience. With this tenure, the staff has many years of technical experience and MTM account history. Every day we strive to continue to provide the service and solutions that you have come to expect in our 44 year history.

So, with all of the business changes going on, the MTM staff remains the same—always willing and ready to help our members for whatever comes up. Even during the turmoil of the last few months, the staff kept the MTM office open every single day.Be safe.
